The Mendocino Coast Jewish Community shul is located in downtown Caspar, halfway between Mendocino village and Fort Bragg, California on the beautiful and rugged northern California coast. We are about 150 miles from the San Francisco Bay Area and separated from the next closest Jewish community by a coastal range of mountains.

We think of ourselves as a contemporary "shtetl",

a spiritual and social home for all interested Jewish people and their loved ones who live on the Mendocino coast.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most in-person events at the Caspar Shul are suspended.

However, we have just entered Phase 1 of a slow and careful reopening.

Events may be online only, be hybrid with both online and in person attendance or outside. For the details of the current policy, please click here:

Links for the many events on ZOOM are posted on the Online Calendar, in the Megillah newsletter, and on the Events page.
