The Mendocino Coast Jewish Community shul is located in downtown Caspar, halfway between Mendocino village and Fort Bragg, California on the beautiful and rugged northern California coast. We are about 150 miles from the San Francisco Bay Area and separated from the next closest Jewish community by a coastal range of mountains.

We think of ourselves as a contemporary "shtetl",

a spiritual and social home for all interested Jewish people and their loved ones who live on the Mendocino coast.

The Caspar shul has partially reopened. Some events are taking place indoors and in person, some are outdoors, some are only online and other are hybrid (both in person and online via Zoom). The reopening policy for the current phase of the pandemic is here:

Links for the many events on ZOOM are posted on the Online Calendar, in the Megillah newsletter, and on the Events page.
