The MCJC shul is located in downtown Caspar, halfway between Mendocino village and Fort Bragg, California on the beautiful and rugged northern California coast. We are about 150 miles from the San Francisco Bay Area and separated from the
closest Jewish community by a coastal range of mountains.
The Mendocino Coast Jewish Community is an unaffiliated, egalitarian,inclusive Jewish community. The Board of Directors and our Rabbi strive to offer
a variety of spiritual, cultural and educational opportunities for members of a wide range of backgrounds and ages.
We think of ourselves as a contemporary "shtetl",
a spiritual and social home for all interested Jewish people and their loved ones who live on the Mendocino coast.
The MCJC Caspar shul is open, and many events, community meetings and groups are taking place indoors, outdoors, online, on the beach, in the woods, in our homes and in the community.
Most services are hybrid (both in person and online via Zoom). You may choose to mask when attending live services.
