For more than two decades MCJC has had a dedicated volunteer Hevra Kadisha, which provides traditional Jewish ritual at the time of death and after. Hevra Kadisha members do Tahara (ritual washing of a person's body after death) and organizes Shemira (people who sit quietly with the body from death until burial).

 

We also help with funeral arrangements, shiva, and support for loved ones as needed. Contact Joan Katzeff or Donna Montag for more information.
