"IT IS DONE!"

by Jay Frankston

Anemone coronaria "GOD! The earth is shaking all around me and I feel it in my bones. Show yourself! It would all be alright if I knew you were there".

"I am here. I am! I am not hidden. You do not have to search for me. I am everywhere. I am in the vastness of the night sky. I am in the dew drop on each blade of grass. I am in the breath you take. Where there is life I am there. All you need to do is look. I am in your heart, look deep down. I have no voice yet you can hear me. I have no shape yet you can see me. I am here. I am!"

"GOD! Then give me a sign".

"What do you want? A miracle? What miracles do you need to cast away your doubt? And if I sprinkled miracles all over the earth would you recognize them? A child is born. It has two eyes, two arms, two feet, and five fingers on each hand. Is that not a miracle? You cut your leg. The wound is large, open and bleeding. Yet a few days later it has come together. Is that not a miracle? A tiny kernel, like a grain of sand, like dust, like air, it floats on the wind and where it lands a flower blooms and strawberries are yours for the picking. My miracles are all around you but you do not see them. Perhaps I've made too many and you have become jaded".

"Then perhaps, dear God, I can ask you to do something?"

"I do not do anything. It is done. And it is perfect. Every petal is on the right flower, every wing on the right bird, every river flows in the right direction. All you need to do is look. And if you find a blemish, it isn't. It only looks that way to you. You are too close to see the whole picture. Every stroke on the canvas, every line, every splash of color is needed for it to be complete. Let that be part of your knowledge. IT IS DONE!"
