Kugel

Ring mold or 9 inch baking dish

Recipe by Pauline Jupiter. This won the first place at the 1990 MCJC Arts and Cultural Fair Bakeoff

• 1 lb. medium noodles
• 7 eggs
• 1 cup sugar (scant}
• 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
• 2 cups milk
• 1 pint sour cream
• 1 lb. cottage cheese (small curd)
• cinnamon to taste
• raisins (optional)
• Topping: 1/2 cup corn flake crumbs
• 1 tsp. brown sugar
• 1 tsp. nutmeg
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• butter

Cook noodles. Drain. Pour into a large mixing bowl. Beat the eggs well and add all other ingredients. Pour the noodle mixture into a buttered casserole. Make the mixture the night before and bake the next day for 1 hour at 325 degrees. After baking 20 minutes, add the topping and dot with butter.
